Maternity Pictures

I wonder why people keep looking at me with surprised faces when I tell them I'm due March 8th???? Here I am at 29 weeks. Steve & I went to South Padre Island, Texas last weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary a half a year early (we'll have a baby over our 10th in July, so it was easier now!). We had some fun taking maternity pics. I'll post some others on ofoto.com, but for now here are a couple. ;-)

Era SUPER-PADRISIMO!!!!!!

I have never had a 3-D ultrasound until today....how AMAZING!!!! We got to see our little boy and it was spectacular...HE was spectacular. :-) Everything looks just great-- he is still a little boy, and he has a precious little face. I wish we could put the video on here for you, but the picture will have to do. Come visit us and you can see the video footage. :-) Note: his right arm is up by the side of his head. It looks like it's split open. No se preocupen (don't worry!). The 3-D ultrasound just has outside limits on what all it captures. The face was obviously the focal point.

I'm a Slacker on #3...

blog or more importantly- journaling about your pregnancy &/or journaling to your baby with each subsequent child?! Alas, I find myself in this position. Well, good thing that in the long run, it's probably something that would be more important to me than to my baby one day...especially since it's another boy. :-) I'm 24 weeks and counting...can't believe i'm already more than half-way there! Since I seem to keep growing (funny how that happens, eah?), I thought I'd post a couple more pictures for you.
I love you all!

Almost 21 Weeks

Here's the belly at 20 1/2 weeks!

It's Saturday morning, and we're finally enjoying not sweating!!!! Monday-Wednesday it was 100 degrees! Can you believe that? It's October. Such is life in northern Mexico..... So, I think it got into the 60's in the night, so we're thrilled. :-)

I had a doc. appointment this week-- everything looks good. Since they do ultrasounds at every appointment here, I got to see our little boy once again! How fun. He weighs approximately 12 oz. right now. :-) I don't have much else to report- other than the fact that I am quite obviously pregnant now! Do I really still have 19 weeks or so to go? hahah!

Love you all,
Heather

19 Weeks & Counting...

I dedided that it was about time to put a picture of the growing belly out there for the curious minds! :-) So- here's a picture from 17 weeks.

Since about 16 weeks, I've been enjoying the feeling of this little baby moving around in me. Steve has actually already been able to feel the baby from the outside, too! We're working on thinking of names for him, though we haven't had a lot of success so far. Good thing we're only half-way there!

That's about it for now! I have another appointment in another week, so if the doc gives me ultrasound pics, I'll post them then.

Chao,
Heather

WE'RE HAVING A...

BOY! You may be thinking, "Oh wow-- are they in shock?" The correct answer is "YES!" But we know that God already knew what our family was going to look like before we had any ideas of even having a family. So-- though we're currently a bit tearful (ok that's a little of an understatement for me) today, we are for sure excited and blessed by the fact that God has given us a healthy little boy who is growing really well! We'll keep you posted on the latest and greatest from here on out.

Any boy name suggestions, anyone?! I always loved the name Will. However, I think Will Wilson would be almost as bad as Dr. Don Donald Donaldson (poor guy!). I guess the only thing worse would be Will William Wilson....haha!

Love you all!

We find out TODAY... hopefully!

Hi everyone!

Just letting you all know that my appointment got moved from 5 o clock this afternoon to 11 o clock this morning. I am soooo excited to (hopefully) be able to find out what we're having! Check back on the blog tonight after I've had a chance to write the news!

We're picking Ian up from school early so that he can be there for the ultrasound too. We WOULD be taking Tyler along, but he has Chicken Pox!!!!! Poor little guy. So- I guess we'll be celebrating at home today. :-)

Love you all!

Almost 14 Weeks

Hi girls,

So-- I had a doctor's appointment about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and when the doc did the ultrasound (they do them every appointment here), he seemed to think that the baby looks like a boy. Needless to say, Steve and I looked at each other with stunned faces as if to say both, "What did we do?!" and "Tell us it isn't so!" But, the doctor concluded that we should wait until my next appointment to decide. I was only 11 weeks at the time...seems pretty early. So.... I am warming up to the idea of a boy (I want to be happy either way!) and I really do know that what God has for us is absolutely the best! I know He will be faithful to help me if I end up with three! I just may dress the third one in pink! haha!

I'm starting to show just a little bit, but mostly just to the point that I look chubby. So- I'll spare you pictures until I have a little more of a pregnant belly. :-) I'm not in maternity clothes yet, thankfully, since that stage seems to last quite a while!

Though I'm not yet feeling baby move, when I'm laying down on my back, I'm able to feel where the baby is from the outside and when he/she moves to another spot. What a miracle and a blessing it is to carry God's creation in me-- one in which we got to take part!!!! So cool....

I have another appointment on September 18th (oh wait- Steve's going to Mexico City...I have to change it.... so it may be on like the 15th). I'll write an update then, especially since we should know what we're having by that point!!!! Yippeee!

We're Having Another Baby!

Hello girlfriends! I figured I'd start a pregnancy blog so I could keep you all informed about how I'm doing and how this little miracle inside me is progressing. I can't believe that I'm already almost 3 months along. So-let's start from the beginning. A little over a year ago we decided to start trying for baby #3. Since we have 2 boys already, we decided to use the trusty book (Your Baby's Sex: Now You Can Choose) to go for a little girl. So, as best as we could, we tried to follow the biological suggestions in the book for creating a little girl. After a year, though, with no pregnancy, we began to sense that we needed to just let go of personally trying to end up with a girl and give that longing of our hearts to the Lord. That was a hard step for me, silly as that may seem. I knew that God was able to give us a girl and that He desires to bless His children with the longings of our hearts, but I questioned whether or not He would do it. Of course He knows the best plans for our family. Sometimes it's hard to accept that, though, when your own personal longing is as far as you can see. So, we threw the plan out the window and prayed for God to bless us with a child- with His best for us. That was probably in March or April.

We left on June 14th for family vacation in Colorado. Based on when I knew I ovulated, I figured that if i was pregnant, I would be able to take a test on the last day of our time with Steve's family (June 24th) and it would probably show up; that way, we would be able to tell them in person as well as tell my parents later that same day. Well, by the day before, I had absolutely no symptoms. I was feeling bummed that yet another month had passed by, yet I didn't say anything to anyone. So- the next morning (our last morning with Steve's fam), I woke up to Ian jumping into our bed. He said, "Mommy, mommy! I have to tell you something. Are you ready? Are you ready?" Somehow in that instant I thought, "He is going to tell me about a dream he had about a baby." He said, "Mommy- I had a dream, and God gave us a baby girl." He said it with such seriousness and with a knowing that what he had to tell me was really important. I was stunned, excited, and yet wondering if that was really true. Well, I hadn't bought a pregnancy test since I didn't think i was pregnant, so I didn't take a test that day. Three days later, while camping in Leadville, CO with my family, I woke up and eagerly headed down to the pit toilet (it's the nicest one i've ever been in! haha! May Queen Campground) with a pregnancy test and a tampon- just to be prepared for either way! To my delight, the test was POSITIVE! So, at 10,000 feet in the cold Colorado pit toilet, I officially found out about this baby. :-) So- that's the story! That was 8 weeks ago. I'll write another post soon. Until then, thanks for sharing in this joy with me!
